LEGO Crazy Action Contraptions

I got 4 of these kits from our Scholastic book fair. Students have enjoyed following the instructions to create the different projects. NOTE: This has lots of small pieces. All the things you can build have some kind of moving parts. I ended up using our fourth kit for "spare parts" and using 3 kits with kids.

I also have a separate station I call "Lego Classic" which is made up of a set of 1500 Lego bricks. We have Lego Classic 10697. I went online to the Lego website and printed off extra copies of the instructions so more than one student can be building a project at once. Kids can choose to build a project from the instructions that came with the set, build from a Lego Challenge card (printed from Pinterest), or build their own creation..

Sophia and Sunny build a project.
See Colton demonstrate the Lego contraption he built.
