BIOGRAPHY CHALLENGE
- Biography challenge. 6th grade teachers cut out stars out of construction paper using the die cut machine. Each time a student read a biography, the student took a star, wrote the name of the person the biography was about, and put it on their locker. It was fun to walk down the hallway to see all the biographies being read. We also did buddy reading with older students reading to younger students. I pulled a group of short biographies for buddy reading.

MR. LEMONCELLO'S LIBRARY ACTIVITIES
- Description of Mr. Lemoncello's Library activities. Our library held an after-school activity based on Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. View our ONLINE PHOTO ALBUM.
- I used the website myrebus.com to generate rebus puzzles for students. I had several puzzles and started with simpler ones. If students got those, I gave them the more challenging puzzles.
- I received a programming grant from SCKLS to purchase multiple copies of Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library and the sequel, Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics. This allowed lots of kids to read the books.
- We played a board game I purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers.
- Visit this link to learn how to download Mr. Lemoncello's Great Library Escape game. We played it at our library and the kids loved it!
- Our activity day included Dewey decimal-themed snacks and a library scavenger hunt.
